    Current PHO research activities

    • Epidemiological studies to discover and characterize cancer and chronic disease risk factors, etiologic pathways, and implications for prevention and screening.
    • Building teams, partnerships, platforms and systems for population health research and disease prevention, surveillance, and control.
    • Studying effects of environmental factors (e.g., hormones, dietary factors, ionizing radiation, etc.) and genetic modification of exogenous factors.
    • Advanced research methods and platforms for use in population-based epidemiological studies.
    • Education, mentorship, and strategic decision-making to improve health promotion, disease prevention and population health.
