Environmental and Occupational Health

Environmental health addresses the assessment and control of the physical, chemical, biological, social and behavioural factors in the environment that influence health and disease occurrence. Occupational health deals with evidence-based strategies that health and safety practitioners can use in protecting health care workers.

PHO provides scientific and technical advice and support on a variety of emerging and evolving public health issues.  This includes research, surveillance, environmental monitoring equipment and expertise, professional development, consultation and field support relating to environmental and occupational health.

The OEH Seminar Series

 

Highlighting relevant topics for Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) practitioners and those conducting research in this area, bi-weekly seminars are held Fridays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Public Health Ontario. Participants may attend in-person or via webinar.
