Trans-Northern Pipelines operates a federally regulated pipeline between Quebec and Ontario and the provincially regulated Alberta Products Pipeline between Edmonton Refineries and markets in southern Alberta. As a National Energy Board regulated company, Trans-Northern Pipelines is required to provide outreach to the various responders along its pipeline right-of-way. This presentation will provide an overview of the Trans-Northern approach to emergency preparedness and response outreach.

Presenter: Ryan Wheeler

Ryan Wheeler is the Director and Consultant of Shearwater Environmental Emergency Solutions, an environmental emergency management consultancy based in Toronto. He has over 20 years experience in consulting as provincial and federal Officer. Shearwater Environmental Emergency Solutions delivers environmental emergency management services to organizations in the energy and transportation sector and to those that have been impacted by an environmental emergency. 

The Occupational and Environmental Health Seminar Series is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The series is also approved by Council of Professional Experience for professional development hours (PDHs) for members of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI), and by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH) for Registration Maintenance (RM) points.
