Corporate Services

Public Health Ontario is supported by a strong set of corporate service departments that include:

  • Finance
  • Facilities
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology and Information Management
  • Planning and Performance


The Finance Department provides a range of services that includes controllership and payroll functions, financial reporting to a variety of stakeholders, financial forecasting, planning and business unit support, funding, liaison with government and compliance monitoring.


The Facilities Department strives to provide healthy, safe and secure work places for all PHO staff. Its primary focus is creating and maintaining workspaces that enable employees to work productively.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is committed to supporting staff so they are engaged and able to deliver on the vision, mission and mandate of the organization. HR serves internal clients with employee and labour relations advice, development of HR policies and guidelines, leadership and organizational development capabilities, and recruitment and retention programs.

Information Technology and Information Management

The Information Technology and Information Management (ITIM) Department provides a range of technology services to support PHO's programmatic, business and organizational requirements.

Planning and Performance

The Planning and Performance Department provides leadership and coordination across PHO for strategic, annual business and operational planning; organizational performance management; enterprise risk management; and reporting.
