OUT-TB Web application project receives a National LEADing Practice Award

Dr. Fran Jamieson, medical microbiologist, and Jennifer Guthrie, research technician, were honoured with a National LEADing Practice award for their work on the OUT-TB (Ontario Universal Typing of Tuberculosis) Web application. On Friday, February 28, 2014, at the Advancing Care symposium, Canada Health Infoway and Accreditation Canada recognized OUT-TB Web as a LEADing practice that demonstrates innovative practice in the awareness and adoption of interconnected electronic health information systems.

OUT-TB Web aids in the investigation, surveillance, and management of patients with tuberculosis and providing public health program staff and clinicians with seamless access to timely information across multiple jurisdictions.

More information about the National LEADing Practice Initiative can be found on Canada Health Infoway's website.
