The goal of this webinar is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to build a social engagement strategy. It will provide agencies and individuals involved in health promotion initiatives an overview of how social media redefines traditional communication methods and how it can be leveraged to expand reach, influence health decision-making and facilitate engagement and information sharing.
Presenter: Sophie Rosa
Sophie Rosa is a health promotion consultant focusing on health communications. Rosa has a master’s of science degree in health studies and gerontology, a bachelor of science degree in psychology and a bachelor of arts degree in professional writing in English. Her professional background covers over 12 years of experience in health promotion, communications and strategic planning. She has led numerous national, provincial and municipal communication and public engagement initiatives for the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Previously, Rosa was a senior communications advisor in the public service and a freelance health writer. She began her career as a communications advisor for the Canadian Institutes for Health Research and as a health promotion specialist for the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit. Rosa is fluently bilingual.
