Planning for Syndemics: Synergies in data science for epidemic infectious disease control in Canada

Join us online to view a selection of presentations and panel discussions from the Planning for Syndemics: Synergies in data science for epidemic infectious disease control in Canada workshop.
We believe the application of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to population-based health data is needed in order to maximize innovation in the fight against infectious diseases in Canada. Despite advances in modern medicine and hygiene, the burden of infectious diseases is growing, with devastating consequences. Even with a myriad of tools to fight these diseases, reservoirs of infection are hidden within our population, often masked by socio-economic differences and inequity, diminishing our ability to make significant improvements in the health of our population. New tools and innovative approaches are urgently needed to enable us to accurately assess the burden of infectious disease and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
