Testing Indications

Suspected cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) require activation of the Canadian Viral Haemorrhagic Fever Contingency Plan.

Before collecting samples, you must contact both your local Medical Officer of Health and the PHOL Customer Service Centre at 416-235-6556 or toll free at 1-877-604-4567 to speak to a microbiologist.

Test Methods

After PHO laboratory microbiologist approval, samples will be sent to NML for testing.
