Letters of Direction
Close collaboration and alignment with the Ontario Ministry of Health and its priorities guide many PHO actions. Letters of Direction outline the focus, priorities, initiatives, objectives, as well as important challenges and opportunities that are set for PHO for the coming year by the Minister of Health. Letters of Direction reaffirm our commitment to function in the best interest of the people in Ontario by continuing to enable informed decisions and actions that protect and promote health and contribute to reducing health inequities across Ontario.
Note: Prior to 2025–26, the Letter of Direction was referred to as the Mandate Letter.
