Our health is influenced by the environments in which we live, work, play and learn. We can think of the environments that surround us as having both physical and social components. In this webinar series, we will explore the research and hear from practitioners working to build healthy social environments.

In the first webinar of the series, Andrea Bodkin from Public Health Ontario will explore the results of recent literature reviews that highlight what healthy social environments are, key models and frameworks that can guide our work, and how they can be measured.

Andrea Bodkin, MPH, has worked in health promotion and public health since 2003. As Senior Program Specialist in Health Promotion with Public Health Ontario, Andrea brings her enthusiasm and expertise for planning in all forms, evaluation, community engagement, partnership development and facilitation to public health units across Ontario. Andrea holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a specialty in Health Promotion from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. Andrea hosted three seasons of the podcast Tenfold and recently led the development of an online introductory course called Health Promotion Essentials.
