Obesity

Obesity is a chronic health condition associated with having excess body fat and is associated with serious conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, arthritis and cancer. Weight bias, or stigma, is described as negative beliefs or attitudes about weight that lead to prejudice and weight discrimination, which can negatively impact an individual's experiences and health.
