Enterovirus D68

Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) causes acute respiratory illness. Symptoms range from a mild cold-like illness with coughing and wheezing to severe infections that require hospitalization. Enterovirus infections are more common during late summer into fall, with some variation each year.

This session will begin with an update on the recent epidemiology of MDR-TB in Ontario followed by Dr. Sarah Brode providing a general overview of MDR-TB, including pathogenesis, epidemiology, diagnosis, and clinical management.
