Concussions

Concussions are the most common form of head injury and represent a significant burden of injury to Ontarians. Concussions can be caused by either direct impact or forceful motion of the head or other part of the body that results in rapid movement of the brain within the skull. While the majority of people recover within a few weeks, in some cases it may take longer for symptoms resolve.
