Antimicrobial Stewardship Strategies
Public Health Ontario has identified eight evidence‑based antimicrobial stewardship strategies to support health care institutions in designing, strengthening, and sustaining effective stewardship programs. These strategies reflect current best practices.
The strategies are intended to be flexible and adaptable across different organizational contexts and are intended to support continuous quality improvement in antimicrobial stewardship practices across Ontario.
