Campylobacteriosis is a common bacterial disease, causing intestinal illness, including diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Infection occurs through direct contact with animals or from consuming undercooked meat, poultry, unpasteurized dairy products or contaminated water. Most cases are mild, but infections can cause serious complications among the very young, elderly and immunocompromised.

PHO Rounds: Launching the Novel "Torpedo" Surveillance Method for Avian Influenza Viruses in Wetlands

This Public Health Ontario (PHO) Rounds will explore a study aimed at testing the efficacy of a novel environmental surveillance method for AIV in bodies of water, using a novel device termed “the torpedo”.
