The Ontario Respiratory Virus Tool provides weekly epidemiological information on respiratory virus activity in Ontario, including COVID-19, influenza, RSV, and other respiratory viruses. Explore and download up-to-date data on case trends, outcomes, laboratory testing, and outbreaks.
Key findings for Mar. 1 – 7, 2026 (week 9)
COVID-19
- Percent positivity was low (6.3%), and overall activity was lower than the previous week.
- Highest percent positivity in those <1 years (8.0%) and 65 years and older (7.0%).
Influenza
- Percent positivity was low (3.3%), and overall activity was similar to the previous week.
- Influenza B activity has increased in recent weeks.
- Influenza B percent positivity was highest in children 5-11 years (28.3%) and 12-19 years (14.6%).

RSV
- Percent positivity was moderate (6.2%), and overall activity was lower than the previous week.
- Highest percent positivity in children under 5: 17.1% (<1 year) and 18.0% (1–4 years).
