New Initiatives

  • My research program is currently primarily focused on informing the implementation of emerging RSV immunization programs for children. For example, I am currently leading a CIHR-funded project developing new modelling tools to better understand the equity impacts and costs related to new and emerging RSV vaccine and prophylaxis programs in Ontario, which may offer direct insights for informing immunization decision-making and planning to better improve the health of Ontarians.

Education

  • Doctor of Philosophy (Epidemiology), University of Toronto
  • Master of Public Health (Epidemiology), University of Toronto

Personal statement

"My research program focuses on generating evidence which can directly support decision-making and policies related to the prevention of infectious diseases among children. I am primilarly interested in better understanding the burden of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in children and evaluating the impacts of public health interventions, such as immunization programs. As a PHO Scientist, I am proud to directly support decision-makers and a range of other stakeholders, such as clinicians and public health practitioners, in achieving our shared goal of equitably improving child health in Ontario."
