Ontario COVID-19 Data Tool

The Ontario COVID-19 Data Tool provides epidemiological information on COVID-19 activity in Ontario to-date. Explore the most recent COVID-19 data including: daily case counts by hospitalizations and deaths, vaccine uptake by age, sex and public health unit, outbreaks and laboratory testing.

Updates to the Ontario COVID-19 Data Tool as of June 23, 2022:

  • PHO has moved to weekly surveillance reporting. Data in the COVID-19 tool is now refreshed weekly to align with this approach and our new comprehensive weekly COVID-19 epidemiological summary.
  • Summary: Weekly laboratory test counts and weekly percent positivity are now available.
  • Case Trends: Daily case data are now reported up to the previous Saturday. All weekly case data continue to be available up to the previous Saturday (complete surveillance week). Hospitalization data (hospital admissions) are now reported by hospital admission date. See the Technical Notes - General for more information.
  • Vaccines: Daily vaccine data continue to be available up to the previous Sunday. All weekly vaccine data continue to be available up to the previous Saturday (complete surveillance week). Addition of vaccine fifth dose data for Ontario and public health units to the dose administration estimates. See the Tool Technical Notes – Vaccines for more information.

Notes: Testing and case, contact, and outbreak management in Ontario was restricted to high-risk populations and settings in January 2022. As such, counts are an underestimate of the extent of COVID-19 activity in Ontario, particularly from January 2022 onward.

The COVID-19 Data Tool is updated Thursdays at 3 p.m. For questions about the data, please contact EPIR@oahpp.ca.
