Map provides provincial picture of where there are established blacklegged tick populations, the tick vector responsible for four Diseases of Public Health Significance: anaplasmosis, babesiosis, Lyme disease and Powassan virus infection.

Along with Lyme disease, blacklegged ticks can transmit anaplasmosis, babesiosis and Powassan virus. This summary describes the epidemiology of these three tick-borne diseases in 2023 and where cases were exposed in Ontario.
